Changes during the Industrial Revolution Lesson 4: Cars
Learning goal: Students can talk about who invented the car. Students can record themselves while talking about the car.
Assignment 1: - Individually you will make
a list:
in the 21st century cars have a lot of additional features, what are those
features? Which features would you like when you would buy a car? - Create a list of at least 10 things which you would like when buying a car in the 21st century.
Assignment 2: - Watch the following clip on the invention of the car
Assignment 3: - In pairs you are going to create an infographic about cars. On the right is an infographic example. - Look up information on the following sites below. Article 1 Article 2 Article 3 - Tip: You can use all the information on the sites. You may also look up additional information on the internet yourselves. As long as it fits with the given articles.
Assignment 4: - After designing the infographic, explain the infographic by recording yourselves. - Tip: The recording must be at least 4 minutes per pair.
- While recording yourselves each of you explains at least 4 words on the recording, which you have found in the articles. These words need to be explained so all other students know what these words mean.
Assignment 5: - Step 1: Do the following puzzle on cars The words in the puzzle are from the articles. - Step 2: With these 10 words, create a summary/list in which all words are explained and why they belong to the invention of the car. Story must be at least 120 words. Link these words back to the video you have watched at the beginning of class.
